As Adviser Social Media you will build relationships with the broader communications and digital and customer teams to deliver content across social platforms. You will have a strong understanding on how to use media channels to engage with a broad cross section of the community. People with an understanding of and interest in digital media channels and how to utilise data to drive positive media outcomes. 

You will provide advice on social media to internal stakeholders, be able to work in a busy and fast-paced environment and be able to think strategically about media engagement. Participate in an all hazards approach for the State Control Centre, including emergency issues related to the department and its agencies.

To be successful in this role you will need to have a degree in digital communications, communications or marketing. Previous experience working in government sector is highly desirable.

This is a fixed term position available up until 30 September 2019. An opportunity for continued employment beyond this date may be available subject to funding.
