The Hydrogeologist will contribute to a specialist groundwater team that provides technical and policy input to the Minister, Department, Government agencies, the water industry and community relating to groundwater availability and condition and the risks posed by change in climate and catchment conditions. This advice is required in the development of policy, licensing reviews, statutory and non-statutory management plans, and resource conditions assessments.

This position will undertake groundwater technical data analysis and liaise with and provide advice to professional and technical officers on matters associated with groundwater resource assessments, research issues on groundwater resource management and prepare draft reports and briefings within a project plan set by others. A qualification is hydrogeology, earth sciences, environmental science, engineering in a government setting is desirable.

This is a fixed term Flexible position for a period of 30 June 2020
