This Policy Officer position provides an exciting and rewarding opportunity to contribute to improving water markets and trading rules across the state as part of government commitments outlined in its new long-term strategy Water for Victoria.

This position will work across the Department's Water and Catchments Group, with water corporations and key stakeholders to ensure actions to improve the water market arising from Water for Victoria are undertaken collaboratively and implemented effectively. It requires a self-motivated and creative thinker with high level conceptual and analytical skills, capable of tackling complex issues. If you are flexible and team-focused with good communication skills and have knowledge of Victoria's water entitlements and their management, you are strongly encouraged to apply.

This is a fixed term position for a period to 30 June 2020
