The Project Officer – Events, Media and Engagement provides support to the Biodiversity Division within the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning to identify and develop engagement and event opportunities with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Ensure the provision of high quality material and advice across the Biodiversity Division on opportunities and issues/protocols associated with engagement, media and events. Contribute to the seamless delivery of quality, well-organized ministerial events and documentation requiring attention to detail and exceptional organizational/administrative skills

The position will work closely with the Department's Digital and Customer Communication's Division and will be responsible for co-ordinating events and other media opportunities to support the Victorian Government ‘s delivery of the Biodiversity Plan, Protecting Victoria's Environment - Biodiversity 2037.  A contemporary knowledge of event and communications options and processes, including experience in applying them to public sector event requirements is desirable.

This is a fixed term - flexible position for a period of 2 years
