The Planner provides quality advice and service to the Minister for Planning in relation to planning, development and land use matters.  This position is an integral part of the Planning Group which is responsible for providing statutory services to deliver the Minister for Planning's responsibilities in relation to the assessment of permit applications for planning scheme amendments, and other requirements of planning legislation and instruments.

The position will provide statutory services to deliver the Minister's planning responsibilities in relation to assessment of planning scheme amendments, secondary consents and other requirements of planning legislation and instruments, prepare quality reports, papers, presentations, briefs and correspondence.  A good understanding of significant government policies and strategies, with an emphasis on transport and land use, combined with a sound knowledge of government processes involved with progressing plans, strategy, policy, and legislation is desirable.

This is a fixed term – Flexible position for a period of 12 months
