The Senior Project Officer – Water Grid Oversight will develop, implement and evaluate effective engagement and communication strategies to facilitate and inform strategic regional, system wide, cross boundary water resource planning and investment decisions. The position will lead and provide specialist advice for complex complex projects and policy studies ensuring strategic oversight of Victoria's water grid, and represent the Department on a number of governance committees and other forums, and in internal and external stakeholder negotiations.

You will have superior engagement and communication skills and the ability to quickly develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders. You will be self-motivated with proven skills in water resource management, policy development, and strategically tackling complicated issues.  An appropriate tertiary qualification in science, engineering, natural resource management or other relevant disciplines is required and experience within the water sector is highly desirable.

This is a fixed term - flexible position for a period to 30 June 2020.
