Located within the Policy branch, the Executive Support Officer is part of a high performing team that provides a wide range of executive and administrative support functions to the executive team within the Policy and Planning Division, Forest Fire and Regions Group. The role is part of a team of Executive Support Officers who work together to provide consistent service to the Division.  

The successful applicant will be self-starting, demonstrate initiative, enjoy learning new things and taking on new challenges. They will exhibit a strong delivery focus and be able to form and maintain positive working relationships.

The core duties of the role include providing high quality executive assistance and administrative support to the Director Policy and the broader Policy branch. This includes diary and meeting management, project tracking, stakeholder liaison, management of correspondence and briefing processes, and other office support.

The role requires a proactive self-starter with an ability to work with limited supervision in a complex and fast paced environment. A sense of humour is a must!

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong skills in communication, organisation and planning, team work, and stakeholder relations.

Experience in an Executive Assistant role, particularly within Government, would be an advantage.
