It's an exciting time to join the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning in the engagement area with a lot of focus on how we engage effectively with our communities, partners and stakeholders. The Project Officer – Engagement will provide advice and support to Forest Fire and Regions staff in building their engagement skills and capacity and to assist the group in delivering on the DELWP Community Charter The position is part of a small and supportive unit that works closely with the policy and planning teams, regional teams and forest and fire strategic and operational teams across the state.

It is desirable that the successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: community engagement, community development, relationship management, change management, facilitation and social science. Additionally, we are looking for a candidate who has relevant experience and knowledge in community engagement, community development or a related discipline.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 months.
