Reporting directly to the Assistant Chief Fire Officer, Gippsland, Forest and Fire Operations, the Executive Assistant will provide high level, confidential, secretarial and executive support.  Manage appointments scheduling and co-ordinate and provide administrative services to support internal meetings and external stakeholder events.  Other tasks will involve email and calendar management, tracking correspondence, coordination of information and briefing material, researching issues and following up matters on behalf of the Assistant Chief Fire Officer.

The role will also provide workforce and project management support to ensure systems are coordinated and to implement continuous improvement in administrative systems and processes. The position is also required to respond to external and internal enquires liaising with senior management and staff, and a variety of stakeholders including Emergency Management Victoria partners.

The successful applicant will be a person who is proactive, organised and able to converse with people on all levels to ensure tasks and requests are completed within required timeframes to a high standard.  We are seeking an enthusiastic person, who has well developed oral and written communication skills, and is capable of dealing with complex issues at the local level.
