The Forest Fire Management Officer plays a critical role within the Macalister district in leading and managing the procurement and contract management processes across several complex land management projects and programs. This role will be exposed to the full breadth of land management including forest management, roading and planned burning, and will play a lead role in supporting the district's direction in these areas.

The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of forest management, roading and planned burning planning processes or equivalent, including expertise in the use of computer programs such as ArcGIS and Microsoft Office suite. This role will be required to have or obtain an AIIMS accredited role to assist in the department's fire response and planned burning responsibilities.
