An exciting opportunity exists for a Land and Built Program Officer (Committees of Management) to work within the Forest, Fire and Regions Group within DELWP.

The Land and Built Environment Program Officer (Committees of Management) will be responsible for the delivery of support services to public land committees of management within the Gippsland Region. This position will lead governance and support services to committees of management to enable them to deliver their Crown land management responsibilities in a way that is sustainable and maximises social, environmental and economic benefits to the state and the community.

Your key tasks will be to lead a project to improve the capacity and capability of public land committees of management and provide land and built environment services to committees of management to support sustainable, effective and efficient public land governance and stewardship.

In addition to the standard demonstration of strong stakeholder management, change management and project management skills, you will be strategically minded and able to improve the management of Crown land, and focus on recognising and valuing the significant contribution of volunteers towards the management of public land. 

This is a fixed term position until 17 June 2020.
