About the role

Working in a supportive, flexible environment, you will provide financial services to the Regional Directorate and Forest and Fire Operations Division within the Grampians region. This is a fantastic opportunity to help ensure public money is used appropriately and effectively in the delivery of essential community services and outcomes.

Contributing to the regional component of a $400 million annual budget and providing high level financial management reporting and advice to senior management on existing and forecasted budget expenditure, the role provides a rare opportunity for involvement in a senior financial setting outside the Melbourne CBD.

You will make a direct contribution to ensuring the Regional Director and Assistant Chief Fire Officer meet operational objectives and priorities through identifying and resolving emerging issues, risks and trends which may impact on the successful achievement of outcomes.

While the position is primarily based in the Ballarat office, located within the CBD, flexible working options are available which include working remotely and flexible hours.

About us

It is tasked with ensuring that Victoria has the right conditions to enable economic growth, while delivering liveable, inclusive and sustainable communities.

We are building an inclusive workplace to help realise the potential of our employees, embrace our differences, and apply our diverse thinking to innovation and delivering services to Victorian communities. This is an ongoing role.

To be considered for this position, your application should include a supporting statement demonstrating that you meet the key selection criteria and any job requirements specified in the position description.
