Position purpose

The Community and Partnership Program Officer will provide high quality administrative duties, program monitoring and records maintenance to support effective and efficient provision of stakeholder relationship management, media and communications, regional partnership support and administration of grant programs.

The Forest, Fire and Regions Group plays a critical role in the delivery of integrated, accessible and high-quality land and natural resource management for Victorians and protection against and management of fires and emergencies.


  • Provide administrative services to support the delivery of high quality Community and Partnership Programs to enable the region to meet business and operational objectives and priorities.
  • Contribute to media and communications, administration of grant programs, climate change adaptation and energy programs and Aboriginal inclusion; supporting regional partnerships within a high performing culture.
  • Provide information and advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with relevant teams to ensure the consistent, integrated and efficient delivery of community and partnership services across FFRG.
  • Identify emerging issues, risks and trends impacting on the successful achievement of objectives and priorities and develop solutions and options.
  • Contribute to the delivery of group and departmental priorities, and to building an inclusive and high performing workforce that is customer focussed, collaborative, professional and engaged.

Specialist/Technical Expertise

  • Practical experience relating to grant/contract administration and project/program delivery.
  • Knowledge and skills in stakeholder and community engagement.
