Position Details

This position is classified as an “identified position” aimed at increasing employment opportunities for Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander  People. The position requires an in-depth knowledge of Aboriginal culture and an ability to communicate with Aboriginal communities. Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.

Identify, facilitate, and on occasion, manage projects and partnerships across agencies related to implementation of Munganin Gadhaba. You will represent, present and promote the Department's activities to Aboriginal communities and relevant stakeholders in the region and provide expert advice and support to DELWP staff on best practice engagement with Victorian Aboriginal people. You will also be responsible for coordinating the monitoring and reporting on the progress of the regional implementation Munganin Gadhaba. The successful candidate will have Extensive knowledge of Aboriginal culture, society and networks in Victoria as well as knowledge and understanding of native title and Aboriginal heritage processes
