This position works as a member of the Port Phillip Region Environmental Compliance Team to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to the delivery of a broad range of compliance (education and enforcement) and wildlife management programs. The position has an emphasis on service delivery in compliance across the full range of compliance activities that are focused on the illegal use of natural resources. 


  • Support and assist the Environmental Compliance Unit to deliver high quality environmental compliance and wildlife management programs.
  • Provide input into the development of policy and strategy, planning and delivery of environmental compliance and wildlife management programs, services and actions to support a high performing culture.
  • Participate in, and lead where appropriate, projects/initiatives, including compliance (e.g. education, audit, inspections and enforcement) and wildlife management (e.g., education, community liaison, assessing relevant licences/authorisations, emergency preparedness) programs and operations to agreed standards and requirements. 
  • Work with other teams within the regional directorate, Forest and Fire Operations, other DELWP divisions and external partners to ensure the consistent, integrated and efficient delivery of environmental compliance and wildlife management programs across FFR.
  • Ensure departmental and group business management requirements are met in accordance with legislative, policy and procedural requirements.
  • Contribute to the delivery of group and departmental priorities, and to building an inclusive and high performing workforce that is customer focussed, collaborative, professional and engaged.
  • Actively contribute to a positive, open, delivery focussed culture that values, supports and mentors people and is based on collaboration, accountability and trust.
