The Senior Planner provides leadership and guidance on planning issues as part of a team in the Planning Group which is responsible for driving implementation of the Government's major planning and building policies, strategies, systems and reforms. The successful candidate will be expected to provide expert advice to decision makers on writing and translating housing and related policy objectives into actionable land use planning regulation to implement strategies and plans.

This position in particular will lead and support the delivery of housing reform within the context of the land use planning system. A good understanding of significant government policies and strategies, with an emphasis on housing reform and land use, combined with a sound knowledge of government processes involved with progressing budgets, plans, strategy, policy, and legislation is required.

This is a Fixed term – flexible position for a period to 30 June 2019
