The Planner is part of the Development Approvals and Design Branch. This position provides project input as part of a team assessing development approvals where the Minister for Planning is the responsible authority and will have a specific focus on undertaking the assessment of large scale planning permit applications (25,000m2 or more, GFA) and applications in strategic areas including the Alpine Resorts. You will provide timely and accurate advice to the Minister, Planning Executive Group, Local Government and other stakeholders on planning and design issues, opportunities and solutions. Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across Government, local government, the community and development industry. A relevant qualification and experience in urban planning is required.  In addition, a relevant qualification and experience in environmental planning or urban design is preferred.
