About us
Western Plains Correctional Centre is a modern, maximum-security prison focussed on rehabilitation, housing up to 1248 people in custody. Western Plains features multi-purpose infrastructure which is adaptable to the evolving needs of Corrections Victoria and the people in our care.
This role is part of the Workforce and Prison Services (WPS) team, a team dedicated to delivering essential corporate and ancillary services support to prison operational teams and prisoners. Leveraging the technical ability and professional expertise of trained subject matter experts, the team supports the smooth functioning of prison operations while prioritising prisoner rehabilitation and safety.
What you will do
As executive services support officer, you will provide administration across prison services.
You will help keep records accurate, secure and easy to find.
You will:
- enter accurate data about people in custody;
- maintain sensitive databases and electronic records;
- keep organised physical and electronic filing systems;
- support prison staff with reliable administrative services;
- attend meetings and complete training and other tasks as needed.
About you
No qualification is required for this role. A tertiary qualification is desirable but not required.
You should also have:
- general administration and data entry skills, with strong attention to detail;
- clear writing and communication skills when working with different people;
- software skills across word processing, spreadsheets, databases and records systems;
- flexibility and teamwork, with respect for people from diverse backgrounds.
