This position sits within the Waterway Health team in the Waterway Programs Branch. The team is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of waterway management policy in Victoria and working closely with catchment management authorities to invest in management activities to improve the health of waterways across the state.

Working as part of a small team, this position will be responsible for assisting with implementation of the riparian management program, including riparian actions and policy from Water for Victoria, the Victorian Waterway Management Strategy and the Regional Riparian Action Plan (RRAP). Implementing the RRAP is a key action in Water for Victoria. The role also supports a number of key riparian stakeholder forums. The position requires an enthusiastic and committed person, able to work independently within a team environment. An appropriate qualification in environmental science, natural resource or environmental management, social science or approved equivalent is mandatory.

This is a fixed term – flexible position until 30 June 2020.
