Sector Governance and Support is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic senior manager to backfill a key role for 12 months from January 2019. The Senior Manager, Sector Governance manages a small team with governance oversight of Victoria's water corporations and catchment management authorities, working closely with the Director and other teams in the branch. A key focus for the role over this period will be the 2019 board appointment process for the water corporations, catchment management authorities and the Victorian Environmental Water Holder, as well as implementing key recommendations from a recent Ombudsman's report.

The successful applicant will also be expected to have a strong focus on staff wellbeing and development and managing through change, and a demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. They will also have demonstrated experience in planning and delivering a program within a multi-disciplinary team, strategic leadership in governance, as well as the ability to influence policies and programs. Highly desirable, they will possess a tertiary qualification in governance, business management or natural resource management.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of period 12 months.
