The Procurement Coordinator – Contingent Labour is responsible for providing accurate and timely advice relating to the procurement and management of contingent labour, as well as assisting with the monitoring of departmental spend in this category and compliance with Victorian State Purchase Contracts.  This will include assisting with the preparation of corporate reporting to departmental Hiring Managers and provision of basic training in the use of a Vendor Management System. The role suits a detail focussed person with a high level of customer service who will work within the Procurement branch of Corporate Services to ensure compliance with DELWP and Whole of Victorian Government Procurement policies and procedures and assist with the implementation and management of a Vendor Management System.

You will have sound written and verbal communication skills, a basic understanding of financial management systems and recruitment processes and enjoy establishing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels with a focus on service excellence and delivery. Demonstrated knowledge of procurement practices and procedures, including demonstrated capacity to understand and apply the Victorian Government Purchasing Board guidelines.
