The Heritage Council Project Officer is responsible for supporting the Heritage Council of Victoria (the Council) and its Executive Officer and Senior Project Officer with the development and delivery of the Council's Review into the State of Local Heritage (the Review). This position is primarily responsible for the research, analysis/evaluation of findings, liaising with government and non-government stakeholders and writing the final Review report. The successful candidate will also be required to assist the Senior Project Officer with conducting any meetings, forums or workshops that are required in relation to the Review and in the support of the Review Steering Committee.

The successful applicant will possess a tertiary qualification in cultural heritage management or extensive experience in the field. They will have demonstrated capabilities in high-quality research, analysis, writing and report formulation, with supporting evidence. Ideally they will have knowledge and familiarity with cultural heritage management practices and the communication of cultural heritage values at local level, and preferably also at state level.

This is fixed term position, available for 12 months.
