Working without one of the four teams, Wholesale Markets and Security, which delivers policies for promoting the reliability and security of Victoria's energy system; Networks Policy, which supports the development of the transmission network in a way aligns with Victorian interests, particularly the efficient achievement of VRET 2030; Renewables Policy, which is responsible for delivering on the government's election commitments to VRET 2030, FiT Reform and the Electricity Sector Pledges (legislated under the Climate Change Act 2017); and. Energy Institutions & Regulation, which develops detailed policy advice and regulatory reforms in relation to the State and national energy markets and institutions. The role involves leading policy research, analysis and development, ensuring delivery of significant energy program initiatives, informing legislative and regulatory reforms, and undertaking senior stakeholder management. The successful applicant will have a strong focus on detail, coupled with strong energy and strategic policy leadership experience.

The position requires high-level interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, including the capacity to work flexibly across the Energy Group.  The role will liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.  They will also be required to develop effective working relationships across the four teams within the branch, across the four Energy Divisions, and with other Groups within the Department.

The 3 roles are fixed term positions available for a period of 6 months.
