The incumbent will be required to provide valuation advice, undertake and outsource complex, urgent and sensitive valuations. Developing a strong working relationship with both internal and external stakeholders is essential. Undertake and outsource complex, urgent and sensitive valuations for government agencies and public sector clients ensuring the maintenance of valuation standards and delivery within agreed timeframes. Provide expert advice on valuations to client organisations and the government, including in the area of compulsory acquisition and make presentations to industry groups

Completion of an appropriate tertiary qualification with Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) status and membership with the Australian Property Institute (API). Knowledge of the Valuation of Land Act 1960, Land Acquisition and Compensation Act 1986, Planning and Environment Act 1987 and other relevant legislation. Knowledge of the government processes and land administration matters. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems to ensure compliance with ISO 9001: 2015.

This is a fixed term (flexible) position available for a period of 2 years.
