The Legislative Project Officer takes a key role in developing and delivering legislative and regulatory projects and initiatives, including the ongoing review of the Local Government Act 1989. The Legislative Project Officer will take a lead role in developing and drafting regulations in relation to the Local Government Act 1989 and related legislation.

These activities support Local Government Victoria's responsibilities for the administration of the Local Government Act 1989 and related legislation and regulations and in ensuring an effective system of local government in Victoria.

This is a fixed term position until 30 November 2018.
