An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Policy Officer to lead the continued development of Victoria's approach, reporting under the Murray-Darling Basin Plan. Working in an area where government policy and environmental management intersect, they will influence Basin Plan monitoring, evaluation and reporting (MER) functions that are still in their formative stage.  The right candidate will have strong relationship and project management skills and will be keen to make a difference in an area of complex public policy.

You will work with different teams across the Department including, environmental watering, water quality and salinity, water trade, and community engagement. The ability to understand highly technical issues, combined with an understanding of the strategic policy context and a good understanding of working in government will allow you to do the job well.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2020.
