This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic team player with strong written, process-oriented and organisational skills to join the Energy Emergency management team within DELWP's the Energy Safety and Security branch. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to a range of work supporting the delivery of robust arrangements to support the Victorian Government's preparation for and response to potential and actual emergencies in the electricity, gas and liquid fuels energy sub-sectors. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to develop a broad range of stakeholder relations in this important area.


  • Assist in reviewing and updating energy emergency related processes and documentation.
  • Assist in monitoring potential and actual energy supply disruptions and assist in preparing relevant briefings and advice, often under tight timelines.
  • Prepare high quality responses to Ministerial correspondence and other requests as they arise.
  • Support the Manager Energy Emergency Management in preparing for energy emergency management meetings and forums including where the Manager is the Chair.
  • Contribute to the preparation of high quality research and analysis on a variety of energy policy, technical and operational issues.
