This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic team player with strong policy and analytical skills & stakeholder engagement capabilities to join the Energy Safety Policy team. The team has responsibility for providing advice to the Minister and Secretary on energy safety policy matters.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide authoritative information and advice on energy safety policy matters and the delivery of legislative reform for energy safety in Victoria.
  • Lead governance-related processes for the monitoring and oversight of Energy Safe Victoria and provide advice accordingly.
  • Contribute to the government's delivery on its energy safety commitments including the Review of Victoria's Electricity and Gas Network Safety Framework.
  • Develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including departmental staff, other government departments, statutory authorities and external organisations.
  • Actively participate in and encourage others to support a positive organisational culture, and business and performance excellence.

The role requires strong problem-solving capability with an outcomes and delivery focused approach. The role also requires the ability to manage complexity and apply analytical ability to a variety of information to identify opportunities and/or issues.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 2 years.
