Are you an IT project lead with hands-on experience in technology procurement, business requirements analysis and a good understanding of solution design?

Interested in leading the design & procurement and/or development of IT systems to support Environmental Compliance activities across the state?

Interested in working within an agile technology team including inhouse infrastructure and software development experts?

Forest Fire and Regions Group, Infrastructure and Resources Division, Capability and Logistics Branch is seeking a decisive, proactive and responsible hands-on program lead with experience in ICT project management, software procurement (Off the shelf and bespoke), business analysis and solution design with a strong understanding of modern information technology, excellent consultancy & stakeholder management skills, a consistent focus on the customer/ end user's vision and a holistic understanding of how to deliver business outcomes.

This role will be responsible for overall program and project management, requirements capture and high-level design of a Compliance Information Management System (CIMS) and managing successful delivery of the software components of this system.

Key to the success of this role is a commitment to building strong, collaborative and productive working relationships within the team and across a variety of stakeholders within the Department, other government Departments and Agencies, community groups and vendors.

A robust understanding of modern information technology and how technology can be used to solve business problems is an important aspect of the role. This position is expected to be involved in hands on business requirements gathering and solution design and to work closely with technical experts both internal and external including solution architects and software developers.

This role will be required to manage vendor engagements, including tender processes, and/or in-house software development resources to deliver a multi-faceted information technology solution to meet the needs of the Environment Compliance Branch.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 3 years.
