The Central Highlands Forest Reform Coordinator will support a partnership approach to delivery of the Regional Forest Agreement modernisation program and future forest and fire management with Traditional Owners. It will lead a regional engagement approach with partners, stakeholders and local communities, facilitating an inclusive approach that enables anyone interested in the future of our forests to have an opportunity to share their views.

This role will also work with other forest management, biodiversity and engagement specialists across DELWP's Forest Fire and Regions Group to coordinate an approach that responds to the needs of a broad range of communities and stakeholders. The role supports a broader program of work that will provide greater opportunity for local communities in the sustainable management of forests to ensure their needs and values are appropriately managed.

To be successful for this role, it is highly desirable to possess a qualification or expertise in natural resource management, community engagement, strategic planning or a related environmental field.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 18 months.
