About the Division

Transport Assets' purpose is to optimise the value of the Victorian transport system by driving an integrated, whole-of-life asset management approach to the state's assets across the transport portfolio.

About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Licenced Surveyor to join the department as a Survey and Declaration Manager with the Department of Transport (DOT). You will lead and manage a team comprising of technical experts and survey, land information and road declaration practitioners that provide a broad range of survey and road declaration services to the transport portfolio and whole of Government. You will have oversight and execution of a range of survey and road declaration related activities, including the provision of technical advice to DoT/MTIA projects, the review and processing of survey and road declarations, training of staff (including PTA candidates), provision of technical advice and maintenance of DoT standards and guidelines and the adherence to safe work practices.

You are required to have the below qualifications and certifications:

  • University degree in surveying or geomatics or an equivalent qualification as approved by the Surveyors Registration Board of Victoria. 
  • Registration as a Practising Licensed Surveyor in Victoria with the Surveyors Registration Board for Victoria with experience after registration.
