Team Leader – Road Design (West)
- VPS5: $103,920 - $125,735 per annum plus superannuation
- Tenure: Full Time, Ongoing
- Location: Sunshine (nominal)Flexible work arrangements exist so location negotiable
About the Division
Assets and Engineering is a division of Network Design and Integration and is responsible for enabling DoT to effectively plan, deliver and maintain a safe, resilient and fit-for-purpose Victorian transport system through trusted, systematic and disciplined technical excellence.
About the opportunity
The Team Leader - Road Design (West) is responsible for managing the delivery of road design services such as concept/functional and detail design for internal and external customers such as Transport Services and the Major Infrastructure Transport Authority, ensuring delivery is to guidelines, service level standards and to budget. Working closely with two other team leaders you will oversee program delivery and, secure work via a cost recovery model. Reporting to the Manager Road Design the role will also contribute to developing and enhancing road design capability and supporting customers to deliver optimum network outcomes. Road design experience and an understanding of road design process is highly desirable as you will be required to ensure work is to required standards.
Position Outcomes
- Program Delivery –Developed and delivered agreed programs of work for road design services, ensuring that the service delivery, resource allocation, and the outputs, are delivered effectively, on time and on budget.
- Stakeholder Engagement –Professional relationships have been developed and maintained and focused on understanding stakeholder issues, securing ongoing road design services and positioning the Department of Transport Road Design Services as a preferred service provider.
