A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional with a strong understanding of American corporate culture and decision-making processes, together with a detailed understanding of the global business environment (in particular as it relates to America and Victoria, Australia), to join the Victorian Government Trade & Investment (VGTI) network.

Reporting to the Commissioner for Victoria to the Americas, the Advisor is responsible for providing high level business support to the Commissioner and other staff in the VGTI Americas Offices, to expand Victoria's influence throughout the Americas and creating economic outcomes for Victoria.

Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will possess:

• Knowledge of the trade and investment environment in the Americas.
• Proven experience in providing advice and support to executive level staff, with an ability to manage complex and confidential issues.
• Proven communication skills and an ability to conduct successful negotiations and facilitate projects across a geographically diverse business environment.

The successful candidate for this locally engaged position will be responsible for all costs and arrangements in relation to relocation expenses (if applicable), visa, accommodation and day-to-day living expenses.
