Position Details

We're looking for a Grade 2 Allied Health Assistant to join our team, offering you the chance to be part of a dynamic healthcare environment dedicated to improving the quality of life for our clients. This role will primarily work with physiotherapy and podiatry but will have exposure to the wider Allied Health range of services.  

The Contract: Ongoing Part-Time, 48.00 hours per fortnight

The Position:

In this role, you will work across a variety of Allied Health disciplines to provide clinical support and direct therapy services for clients that promotes, maintains and assists recovery and independence in all aspects of daily living. Besides Physiotherapy and Podiatry, other areas you will work with include Occupational therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work and Dietetics. Under the direction of an Allied Health Professional, key tasks will include providing clinical care to patients in individual or group settings, using screening tools to gather information, documenting client progress and managing supplies and equipment.

What you Need:

  • Allied Health Assistant qualification – minimum Certificate III level
  • Minimum 12 months Allied Health Assistance experience is preferred
  • An understanding of the physical and psychological aspects of rehabilitation care and the ability to treat, empathise with and provide person centred care to individuals with a range of abilities.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to enable effective liaison within a multi-disciplinary team and accurate documentation of case notes and statistics.
