Position Details

Accounts Payable Officer

Applications are sought from suitably experienced and qualified accounts payable officers to work in the Finance Division at Echuca Regional Health. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that creditor invoices received are appropriately authorised and promptly entered for payment either via invoice matching or manual data entry.
  • Ensure that invoices are paid as they fall due and prepare payments and remittance advices for authorisation and cheque signatories.
  • Ensure that creditor statements are followed up and reconciled.
  • Attend to creditor enquiries and respond in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Relieve and/or supplement clerical roles elsewhere in the organisation during periods of leave and/or peak activity.
  • Liaise and communicate with colleagues, resolving any issues in consultation with the relevant Manager.
  • Be competent in the key components of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities as appropriate.
  • Identify and participate in relevant training programs as well as participating in team meetings. 

Our team requires someone who has:

  • A Customer service focus
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience in accounts payable
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • A high standard of technological expertise including data entry and the key components of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer

This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check prior to appointment.
