Position Details

The Architects Registration Board of Victoria (ARBV) is a self-funded statutory authority which is responsible for the registration of architects, the approval of architectural companies/partnerships, the regulation of the professional conduct of architects (including the handling of complaints) and the regulation of prescribed terms linked to the practise of architecture.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small team of professionals committed to delivering improved regulatory outcomes for both consumers and the industry. 

The ARBV's compliance function is part of a multi-faceted, risk based and evidence led program of regulatory activity. Reporting to the Manager Compliance, the Compliance Officer is responsible for supporting the delivery of key compliance activities; including investigations (proactive and reactive), complaints management, Architects Tribunal administration, data gathering and analytics, education and the communication of key compliance related initiatives. The successful incumbent will draw on regulatory compliance experience gained in a government, local government or a statutory body and will rely on a diverse range of skills to deliver best practice and innovative compliance outcomes. 

The Compliance Officer may also be called upon to support the delivery of other functions including registration, information provision and general office administration.

This is a fixed term opportunity with the strong possibility of ongoing employment dependent on the outcomes of a funding review which is currently underway.
