Role Purpose

Reporting to the CEO and a member of the AVS Executive Leadership Team, the AVS Senior HR Manager plays a key role in managing AVS' human resources (HR) requirements.   This includes AVS' policies, procedures and frameworks; employment agreements; staff recruitment; safety and wellbeing; performance management, learning and development; and workplace culture initiatives of the company.

The role requires a HR professional capable of devising innovative solutions to complex human resource issues and a track record in developing and implementing initiatives and projects that strengthen a positive and productive workplace.

The Senior HR Manager is required to develop and lead AVS' OH&S training program and develop OH&S objectives, targets for the company and report against related outcomes to the AVS Board and management.

About the Role

A background in the Victorian Public Sector and experience with working with Senior Executives will be highly regarded.

The role is based at AVS' new AgriBio office in Bundoora and is an ongoing position.   

A part time fraction of 0.6FTE (including school hour arrangements if required) will be sought to be agreed with the successful applicant.
