Position Details

The Business & Built Environment Group delivers programs and services to promote and facilitate the environmental sustainability across businesses and the built environment. Delivering programs supporting the uptake of energy and materials efficiency actions and provide solutions to reduce emissions, waste and improve health.

To support the delivery of the Victorian Government's Energy Efficiency and Productivity Strategy, we are delivering a pilot program to develop and market Zero Net Carbon homes in Victoria. We are working with Metricon Homes, Stockland and SJD Homes in partnership with Parklea. This pilot program will provide technical and marketing expertise to each of the builders to facilitate the development, marketing and sales of leading-edge sustainably designed Zero Net Carbon homes.

The objectives of the program are:

  • To improve the supply of ZNC homes by volume home builders
  • To increase consumer demand for Zero Net Carbon homes
  • To pilot As-Built verification (ABV) methodologies, standards and skills development through a collaborative approach with industry

This program has significant potential to transform how volume home builders and consumers think about and act on building and buying Zero Net Carbon homes now and in the future. The Senior Project Delivery Lead will drive this pilot program to completion. Working in a coordinated way across Sustainability Victoria and in collaboration with the program builders and other stakeholders the role will include but not be limited to:

  • identifying,managing and leading technical aspects of program objectives
  • work collaboratively with program builders, internal and external stakeholders to achieve the stated project outcomes
  • managing all contracts associated with the pilot program
  • planning and implementing the program in a way that enables the program to be scaled easily
  • leading internal and external project delivery planning and reporting cycles including budget and risk reporting

The successful candidate will possess relevant technical expertise in Environmental Design, Architecture and Built Environment with a focus on low energy design solutions, renewable energy sources, energy measurement and evaluation occupancy costs.
