A rare opportunity has arisen at BRHS for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide Emergency Nursing clinical leadership in our Emergency Department. The incumbent to this senior nursing position will enjoy a rewarding role comprising autonomy and challenge. Contracts: 3 x Ongoing positions. 48.0 hours per fortnight to 1.0 EFT. AM and PM shifts only.

The Position:

In this role you will be responsible for providing emergency care to patients autonomously and with the support and in collaboration with Senior Emergency Medical Officers and key support staff.  At BRHS, the Nurse Practitioner is recognised as an expert practitioner and clinical leader with advanced knowledge, skills and recognised competence within their credentialed scope. The Nurse Practitioner promotes nursing and explores the boundaries of nursing practice through the use of evidence based and best practice literature. The Nurse Practitioner also utilises their clinical excellence in contemporary nursing practices, combined with the ability to provide advice and recognise quality improvement opportunities.

What you need:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in emergency nursing.
  • Evidence of endorsement as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner from the Nursing and Midwifery board of Australia.
  • Masters of Emergency Nursing or equivalent
  • Current competence in all aspects of Emergency Nursing including provision of care to critically unwell patient populations
