The position: Ongoing, Full-Time

Based in a modern and well-equipped six chair surgery at our Ross Street campus, you will provide leadership and support to the dental team to ensure high standard dental services are provided. Key responsibilities of this role include assisting the Oral Health Manager in the day to day running of a busy dental department, maintenance of surgery rooms/equipment and providing guidance and mentorship to dental team members. This role will also incorporate roster support of Dental Assistants and some chairside assistance as required.

Key criteria required:

  • Certificate IV or equivalent in Dental Assisting
  • Minimum 5 + years of experience as dental assistant in public/private sector
  • Excellent knowledge of the role of a dental assistant and infection control procedures in dentistry
  • Demonstrated professional behaviour and leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and mentor a small, well-functioning team with a customer-centred focus.
