Position Details

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our friendly and supportive Allied Health team that is driven to embed innovative models of care. The Position: Ongoing, Full-Time.

The Grade 2 Outpatient/Community Physiotherapist will be responsible for the delivery of Physiotherapy services that support improved health outcomes for clients as part of an integrated approach to the delivery of health services. The Grade 2 Physiotherapist will be required to provide leadership within the outpatient/community service area. The position offers diversity in clinical practice and the opportunity to build on management and leadership skills. The Grade 2 Physiotherapist will be responsible for providing support to Grade 1 staff, Allied Health Assistants and the supervision of students. The position will be based between the Day St, Ross St and Community Campuses.

The Department:

Physiotherapy services at BRHS are provided for the Health Independence Program which includes Sub Acute Ambulatory Care, Post-Acute Care and Complex care, aged care, acute/ward setting, home and community care programs rehabilitation (HACC). The team consists of a Team Leader, Grade 1 & 2 Physiotherapists and is supported by Allied Health assistants.

Key criteria required:

  • A tertiary degree in Physiotherapy and current registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 3 years' clinical experience and extensive clinical knowledge in a hospital and/or community setting with demonstrated clinical skills in orthopaedic and musculoskeletal physiotherapy including pregnancy and postnatal care
  • An understanding of and commitment to contemporary, goal-directed services delivery models that focus on person centred care
  • Demonstrated skills and experience providing leadership and supervision to other clinicians
