Position Details

 

Traineeship Opportunity – Earn while you learn!

Part-Time or Full-Time up to 76.0 hours

 

The traineeship includes on the job training, mentorship and paid study time to complete a Certificate III in Dental Assistance. In a supported environment, our Dental Assistant trainee will learn to provide clinical chair side assistance to dentists and dental therapists, prepare and provide equipment for patients according to dental treatment, manage the supply of store items and assist with oral health promotion activities.

This traineeship is fixed term for a period of up to 12 months. Please specify your preferred hours in your application.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Genuine desire, commitment and capacity to undertake a Dental Assistant traineeship
  • An understanding of, and genuine interest in, the duties of a Dental Assistant Trainee and the skills required
  • Previous work experience in a fast paced environment is desirable
  • Work experience, volunteering or study in the health industry is well regarded (but not mandatory)
