Position Details
Contract: Part-Time, Fixed-Term contract. 40.0 hours per fortnight until 30.06.2024.

We are looking for a talented Accounts Payable Assistant to join the largest employer and health care provider in East Gippsland in a newly created position. Work schedule may be negotiated, please specify your availability in your application.
The position:
As the Accounts Payable Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our Accounts Payable Officer to perform a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to accounts payable transactions. These will include supporting the processing and monitoring of payments and expenditures, assisting the coordination of authorising invoices, and ensuring timely payment to suppliers. Other tasks involve communicating with departmental managers to ensure all tax invoices are appropriately authorised and accurate coding and entry of expenditures.

What you need:
- 12 months' experience in Accounts Payable and general accounting.
- A good knowledge of Accounts Payable and general accounting procedures.
- High level of organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- Experience using computerised accounting systems.
- Competence in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of products, in particular Excel and Outlook.
