Position Details

Applications are invited from enthusiastic, experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurses to join our dedicated team for this education role within our 90 bed aged care facility.

In this role you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the provision of education to all Maddocks Gardens staff. The Clinical Educator will aim to develop staff knowledge, skills, and competence through encouragement and facilitation in a safe and supportive environment. 

Maddocks Gardens is a purpose built complex combining high, low and respite care residential services. Our aim is to allow residents to age within the facility in a friendly and relaxed environment promoting independence and quality of life. Residents with dementia, the frail aged with complex needs, and the Koori population are all specifically catered for.  Low and High Care Residential Respite is an integral part of the service provision.

The ideal applicant will demonstrate:

  • Minimum five years' acute and aged care clinical experience
  • Post graduate qualifications in Education preferred
  • Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training or working towards preferred
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical nursing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop needs based education program
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Genuine interest and ability to build the capacity of staff, providing professional support to all nursing and personal care staff
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
