ANUM - 24.0 hours per fortnight, Parental Leave replacement

The Positions:
In the Oncology ANUM role you will support our Nurse Unit Manager to manage the Unit by providing leadership and clinical expertise to the team. You will work closely with the medical, allied and ancillary staff on each shift to ensure patient care and operational activity in the unit is coordinated and managed to the highest level. Your role as an RN will be to work collaboratively with our team to deliver holistic, high standard care and education in the management of cancer and medical treatments ensuring a safe environment for all.
The Unit:
Our Oncology and MADU team provides care to patients in association with the visiting Oncologist, Haematologist and the Internal Medicine Unit (IMU). Care includes administration of systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT), blood and blood products and other supportive intravenous therapies. The Oncology Day Unit is continually expanding and currently provides a range of additional cancer services including a survivorship clinic and specialist nursing & project roles and is a hub of the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre (GCCC) based at Latrobe Regional Health.
Key Requirements:
Please read the key selection criteria of the relevant position description to assess your suitability for each role. Essential to both roles are a minimum 2 years of recent acute nursing experience, post-graduate qualifications in cancer care nursing or a commitment to obtain, an understanding of the principals involved in treating patients with cancer and well-developed critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
