STATUS: Ongoing, Part time
HOURS: 56.0 hours per fortnight
DEPARTMENT: Rotamah Medical/Paediatrics/Palliative
A new opportunity has arisen to gain a permanent contract with our dedicated Rotamah nursing team. This is a great chance to consolidate your nursing skills caring for general medical, palliative and paediatric patients in a supported environment.
The Position:
In this position you will provide patient centred, compassionate nursing care using the principals of evidence based practice to improve patient care and service delivery. You will gain invaluable experience in a multifaceted clinical environment working alongside a dedicated team of health professionals.
The Department:
Rotamah is a 17 bed unit which facilitates care for medical, paediatric, palliative and midwifery clients. A mixture of Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses staff the ward. Rotamah also provides placement and support for Registered and Enrolled undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate Nursing and Midwifery students.

Key criteria you need:
- Registration as an Endorsed Enrolled nurse with qualifications in Medication Administration and Intravenous medication endorsement is essential
- Recent acute nursing experience with previous experience in palliative care well regarded
- Well-developed clinical assessment skills with the ability to apply the escalation of care principles
- Excellent care planning skills with a good understanding of and commitment to providing patient centred care with a compassionate approach
- Well-developed communication skills with the ability to utilise key principles to ensure a good clinical handover and escalation of care
