New opportunities exist for enthusiastic and skilled Enrolled Nurses with medication endorsement to join our Flanagan Rehabilitation team. This is a great opportunity to gain further experience in Rehabilitation nursing and progress your nursing career within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
STATUS: Ongoing, Part Time (Full Time considered)
DEPARTMENT: Flanagan Rehabilitation
The Department:
The Flanagan Rehabilitation Ward is comprised of a combination of Subacute Rehabilitation / Geriatric Evaluation and Management, Transition Care Program (TCP) and alcohol and drug detoxification beds providing a diverse mix of patient care requirements. As an EN in Flanagan, your role will be to provide a high standard of nursing care to those people requiring sub-acute inpatient care and support the effective and timely transition back to their home through goal-based care plans and effective discharge planning.
What you need:
- A minimum of 2 years acute and\or rehabilitation nursing experience
- An approved qualification in administration of medicines and intravenous medication administration
- Demonstrated competence in a clinical setting and demonstrated interest in sub-acute care
- Diploma level qualifications in Medication Administration or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to undertake full patient clinical assessments and care planning commensurate within scope of practice Knowledge of discharge planning and transition of care and proven participation in complex discharging planning
- Demonstrated well developed communication and negotiation skills
- Proven commitment to the provision of excellent customer service and patient centred care
