Casual role available
Senior Registered Nurses with advanced clinical and management experience are sought to join our Patient Services Coordination team. This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a new challenge and further develop your management skills and experience in this diverse nursing leadership role.
The Position:
BRHS Patient Services Coordinators are responsible for the coordination of health service resources for the organisation and provide leadership and support to all team members, ensuring evidence based, person centred care is delivered. The role works closely with the clinical and nursing staff teams to ensure effective and efficient use of clinical resources to deliver the right care at the right place and time to meet consumer needs.
The Team:
The Clinical Operations Unit is responsible for facilitating effective patient flow, bed utilisation and adequate staffing levels and consists of the Patient Service Coordinator team, the Patient Liaison Officer, the Nurse Unit Managers of the three overnight wards and the NUM of the Emergency Department, providing support to patients and staff 24 hours a day.
What you need:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Sound understanding of key nursing and clinical programs and operations, including person-centered care, patient flow, contemporary models of care including health independence and hospital substitution and avoidance programs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage staffing to ensure critical skills are available and the skill mix reduces clinical risk
- Proven ability and commitment to provide strong leadership, guidance and support to the nursing team to achieve high quality, effective and person centered care
