Casual opportunities exist for motivated individuals who enjoy caring for the elderly and are passionate about providing exceptional, person centred care to our Maddocks Gardens aged care residents. We would like to hear from personable individuals who demonstrate empathy and compassion and are excellent team players in a busy, multidisciplinary environment.
The Position:
In this role you will be committed to providing excellence in care to our frail, elderly residents of Maddocks Gardens ensuring a safe, secure and happy living environment. You will assist residents with activities of daily living whilst encouraging them to maximise their potential for independence and quality of life. A key requirement of this role is availability to work across 7 days a week and perform a variety of shifts. Opportunities to gain additional shifts covering team members leave are available. Shifts are remunerated accordingly, with penalty rates paid for afternoon and nightshifts, 50% loading on weekend shifts and 150% loading on public holidays.

Key selection criteria:
- A minimum of Certificate 3 in Aged Care or Individual Support
- Proven ability to provide a high level of person centred care in a proactive manner
- Empathy and compassion for the elderly with a willingness and ability to advocate for their best interests
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with a wide range of people, including co-workers, health professionals, residents and family members
- Good organisational and planning skills with the ability to successfully prioritise tasks
