Position Details

Bairnsdale Regional Health Service currently has a great opportunity for a Level 1 or 2 dentist to join our dental team in a full time position.  In this role you will provide a broad range of general and emergency dental care to eligible public clients with support from other dental team members and under the direction of the Senior Dentist and Practice Manager. 

Bairnsdale Regional Health Service is a busy and progressive rural health service and will provide you with a fantastic opportunity to consolidate your clinical skills and gain valuable experience operating within a Victorian public dental program. Professional development is strongly supported by BRHS and you will be encouraged to utilise your full skills whilst receiving support and guidance from a Senior dentist.  You will also benefit from our peer support program and participation in regular clinical case reviews. 

The BRHS Oral Health Service consists of a modern well-equipped 6 chair surgery located within the Community Health Complex. Outreach services are also delivered through the Omeo hospital and via a mobile dental van to treat the Aboriginal community in East Gippsland.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Approved tertiary qualification as a Dental Practitioner
  • Registration as a Dental Practitioner with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated experience working in a Dental Practice or equivalent setting
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including co-workers, patients, parents and other health professionals
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time and meet deadlines
  • An understanding of and strong commitment to public health principles
  • Good computer skills.  Experience using Titanium Dental software package would be an advantage
  • A knowledge of current Victorian public dental programs is highly desirable
